Animals cruelly killed-for fur Is that fashion
Wool comes from Australia, where sheep undergo "molesting," a dreadful mutilation in which large hunk of skin and flesh are cut from lambs' backsides when they alive without any painkillers and those who survive are dragged off trucks tying their ears and legs and then their throats are cut. Every year, millions of sheep discarded by the Australian wool industry are crammed and sent to the Middle East.
In many countries Snakes and lizards are skinned alive because of the belief that live flaying makes leather more supple. Kid goats are boiled alive to make gloves and even the skins of unborn calves and lambs is taken out by some purposely abortions, others taking from slaughtered pregnant cows and ewes, as they believe i to be especially "luxurious. - on wearing.
Today with invention of technology fur is being dyed into bright colors, braided or beaded for a unique texture or exotic look, or clipped down to imitate the feel of velvet fabric.
Business is competitive, so it's even being falsely claimed that fur is a "fabric" and that fur trim is a "byproduct." The fur trade will say anything to win over consumer's confidence for the product made from the actual animals.
Choosing to not wear fur or fur trim is simple and saves animals' lives. So we have be aware! Fashion starts on us and ends on us. Initiatives have been taken already. Norway's biggest annual design showcase, Oslo Fashion Week (OFW), banned fur from its catwalk this year.
The bizarre skin trade is just horrendous. The forbidding reality remains, fur kills animals so help save some lives.
