What’s this DUCK BOOTS?

Monday, January 2nd, 2012

I really wondered what this duck boot is when I first heard about it. Did you? Why is it named so? Well it has a great logic behind. The upper portion of the shoes is made using water repellant fabric called, duck cloth canvass and bottom has rubber sole. So it’s quite obvious it’s meant for rainy season and is called as the DUCK BOOT.

Way back these shoes were used as hunting shoes, comfortable to walk on snow and water. Invented in 1912 by Leonwood Bean. He used a very interesting strategy to introduce his shoes to the mass. The very first lot of the shoes produced was handed over to his customers with a return back policy/ exchange policy. Unfortunately the first lot was not that big a success, though many customers bought the shoes, but were returned back due to non satisfaction. On this he reworked and dispatched a fresh lot to the customer’s back, which was a boom. His count for lovers kept increasing and its 100 years now that the duck book shoes are back in vogue with full swing. This time it’s not just the hunters but the college student also inn for the style.

With new addition Alex Carleton, a designer of Rogues Gallery has added a modern twist to the boots replacing the leather upper with another favorite waterpr

She was an actress now Ravenna Tandon is into modeling

Thursday, December 29th, 2011

I think this has been one of the modest daring and amazing news this year. In fact it’s a great step by our famous of her times actress Ravenna Tandon. It always goes step by step in this industry of modeling; ya people may land up in this profession without prior plans from different profession. Else we have models who are famous actresses today like Aiswarya Rai, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta and many more. But this was a strange entry, a great move.
The more shocking fact is she is a mother of two children, yet so maintained. She is yet a perfect model.
She walks the ramp with famous models in the industry, with equal competition without any experience. She really needs applause….it’s just about her confidence, cause which she is successful in this attempt too like her earlier career. The award winning actress is thrilled about this new move in her career.

It Is All About Styling

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

We all love to look tall, even though we are not that tall. This is where styling can help an individual. Extra tall or extra petite, your cloths can make your body look proportionate, without limiting you from wearing what you love. It’s the styling tricks which give you a different look. so here we talk about a maxi dress. It’s the trend today.

A maxi dress if worn by a petite person will make her look shorter and might not suit her personality if not worn in the right way. So are few tips for petite people who would love to see themselves in maxi dress.

First, select a high-waisted skirt to create the illusion of longer legs (your highest pair of heels with a nice platform will also help, big time!). In addition, keep your tops on the shorter side. A cropped shirt—nothing too oversized—will maintain a longer line. Finally, avoid the “I’m-swimming-in-my-maxi-dress” look by adding a belt to define your natural waistline. Choose your favorite buckle, but keep the band narrow: A wider belt will only stunt your proportions. Go forth, wear maxis, and live large, little lady!
