  • Marc Jacobs introduces latex pencil skirt

    December 20th, 2011

American fashion designer Marc Jacobs has brought the pencil skirt back into fashion by giving it a latex twist at his New York show.
Made out of latex, the pencil skirt has now got a complete makeover for fall. As a result, the old pencil skirt look is about to change and is sure to turn heads.
In creating the pencil skirts, the designer has used shades of jet black and scarlet red. He has also used some snakeskin and different textures to give a completely changed look.
Marc Jacobs has the distinction of transforming the French fashion house Louis Vuitton. He has been bestowed with the Chevalier of the French Legion of Honour for his designing inventiveness. He has also won nine awards from the Council of Fashion Designers of America, including the prestigious women’s wear Designer of the Year in 2010.
