Gwen Stefani’s funky style is not all her possess. Gwen has said that she finds motivation for her clothing line, L.A.M.B, from rocker husband Gavin Rossdale. Gavin gives Gwen ideas for clothing designs and influence her work during his personal style.

The musician-slash-designer has always been fanatical with fashion even before she was famous. Gwen has been known to build her own clothes and stage costumes, mostly when No Doubt was just starting out.

Gwen’s new collection for L.A.M.B. is full of clothing that Gwen herself would desire to wear. She says it’s really very selfish in that way. The collection will be full of modern ’80s clothing interpretations in impartial shades with splashes of color.

Like Gwen, we’ve been known to snag a few things from our boyfriends also. Sorry boys, seems like your closets are about to be raided!

Milliner William Chambers to provide hat creation workshop

We can’t sing William Chambers’ praises highly sufficient at List Towers, and we’re not the only ones.

The young milliner regularly crops up on Scottish Fashion Awards shortlists, his attractively warped, intricate and fantastical creations have become catwalk accessories of option for Scottish fashion designs young guard.

His celebrity fans comprise the very fashion forward likes of Roisin Murphy.

Now he’s branching out into workshops, offering to enlighten you on techniques for building a simple headpiece of your own.

Basic materials are included in the price (£50 for six hours tuition), and you get to obtain your creation away with you at the end of the day, too.

Fashion’s Night Out gets ready for largest NY fashion show in September at Lincoln Center

The most crammed catwalk in city history is coming this September.

Fashion’s Night Out will stage New York’s largest fashion show ever, with more than 200 top models strutting and sporting the most required clothes of the season.

The Sept. 7 event is set for Lincoln Center, with 1,500 fortunate guests infectious a first glimpse of the fashions selected by editors at Vogue magazine.

We felt it is vital for people to see what wonderful fashion will be in stores at that moment, said Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

The show’s location imitates this year’s move of Manhattan’s Fashion Week to Lincoln Center.

Tickets will go on sale this summer, with a piece of the proceeds benefiting The New York City AIDS fund.

The show is teamwork between Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the city of New York.

The show will be fraction of a one-hour CBS television special airing Sept. 15.

Fashion’s Night Out launched last year to endorse the industry and boost sales around the city. This year’s actual FNO is Sept. 10.

Fashion & Flash thumps the runway May 1

A runway show is the highest level at which fashion can do, says Robin Verhage-Abrams, associate professor in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts.

Next month, 13 students from the Sam Fox School — home to the nation’s oldest four-year fashion design program — will go up to that challenge with the school’s 81st Annual Fashion Design Show.

Titled Fashion & Flash, the fully composed, Paris-style extravaganza will begin at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 1, in the university’s Holmes Lounge. Tickets are $65 for common seating, or $50 for students with a legal student ID. Tickets are obtainable through the Edison Theatre Box Office, (314) 935-6543, though a limited number also will be available at the door.

Holmes Lounge is situated in Ridgely Hall, on the western side of Brookings Quadrangle, near the intersection of Hoyt and Brookings Drives. A reception will lead the show, at 7 p.m., under the Ridgely portico, doors will unlock at 7:30 p.m.

Iowan ready for prom among gum wrapper dress

GARNER, Iowa — An Iowa teen is all cheerful over her one-of-a-kind high school prom dress she made out of gum wrappers.

Elizabeth Rasmuson prepared her dress – and matching vest for her date – out of blue and white wrappers from Wrigley’s “5 gum.” The high school junior says she got the thought after hearing about someone making a dress out of duct tape.

She and her boyfriend began gathering gum wrappers last August, Rasmuson says she quit counting after 200.

Since the wrappers break simply, Rasmuson finished her dress with a vinyl top coat.
