The following terms and definitions are defined with respect to their use and with respect to latest Modeling and model agencies. All the definitions listed here are written by me, unless other credit is specified. Not everyone will agree with my definitions.

  • Rabato

  • Rajah

    It is a type of material made from a tussah silk or certain silk wastes. It belongs to the pongee family of silks. Made from uneven yarns, so has slubs and irregularities but thicker than shantung. It is quite compact and burly. Has a pebble-like feel and look. Comes in all colors as well as natural ecru shades, but regularly warp and filling are different colors.

  • Ramie

    it is a fabric made of ramie, frequently resembling linen or silk it is also useful for rope, twine, and nets.

  • Ratine

    It is a type of bumpy huge material generally woven slackly in plain weave from ratine yarns, namely nubbly ply yarns of different fibers made by twisting under tension a solid and thin yarn.

  • Redingote

    If is a en suite outer garment Such as a double-breasted coat with broad flat cuffs and choker worn by 18th century men; a woman's lightweight coat unwrap at the front; a dress with a front gore of different material.

    This refers to modeling live on a runway, which is a platform extending into the audience to provide viewers a 360-degree view of the model and his/her clothing and accessories. Can also refer to photos of a model on a runway.
