Now we have a list of actors who had a stint with modeling earlier. Though some are superstars and some not as famous, the significant aspect is their travel from modeling to filmdom. Now let’s see some of the stars who have are model turned actors. These actor turned models are now making it big in the film industry.

When one thinks of actor models one cannot  miss Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She is the epitome of beauty and it is a known fact that she forsake her education for the sake of modeling career.  She is one of those lucky actors who had an equally successful career in acting. She had acted in some international movies and endorsed international brands besides being a topnotch Bollywood actress. She also appeared in the American edition of Vogue prior to winning the coveted Miss World title in 1994.

One may not know that John Abraham had already established himself as one of the most familiar person in the modeling industry. His popularity was catapulted once he garnered the Gladrags Manhunt title during 1999.

ArjunRampal was also a supermodel and made a big name in the modeling industry. He was quite successful in Bollywood.

Priyanka Chopra has also been one of the most famous models. Now she has made heads turn even in the international arena. She garnered the Miss World pageant way back in 2000 prior to entering the movie industry.

Deepika’s modeling career was equally successful as her Bollywood acting career. She was given assignments by international brands and she even went on to garner the Model of the Year at Kingfisher Fashion Awards. Now she has also signed international movie assignment.

MilindSoman can be considered as a great model rather than an actor.He used to walk the ramps occasionally those days. The Made in India video way back in 1995 made him even him even more popular.

AnushkaSharma ‘s modeling career was a great one; she walked the ramp for Indian fashion designer Wendell Rodricks way back in 2007. Then she decided to take up a career in modeling in the city of Mumbai. Then the rest followed giving her a blockbuster in the form of the Bollywood movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. Currently she is one of the stars in demand in Bollywood.

Whether her film journey was successful or not, Lara Dutta achieved relatively big in her modeling career. She was the winner of the Gladrags Mega model back in 1995. Then the Miss International Pageant happened in 1997 , in which too she won the title. Then she fetched the Miss Universe title in 2000.

BipashaBasu garnered the Ford Supermodel Contest way back in 1999. She established herself as a famous international supermodel. Her acting and modeling career saw equal success.

ZeenatAman can be considered one of the famous models who later became actor. Her fetching of the Miss Asia Pacific way back in 1970 attracted the attention of the whole nation. And she had a great film career too.

JuhiChawla commenced her modeling profession prior to winning the Miss India pageant in 1984. And she had a very successful career in films too.
