Mr. Altman has been professional photographer for many years- first as a photojournalist (chief photographer, Rolling Stone Magazine) and for several decades headed his own commercial studio in San Francisco specializing in fashion photography as well as being a television producer/director for KEMO-TV.

He now actively pursues digital photography and publishes a words and pictures column on the World Wide Web.
