  Right after completing his communication design studies Dirk moved to New York, there he became the assistant to David LaChapelle for nearly three years before he continued to work as freelance assistant to Piter Lindbergh. After this education on the highest level he is now working behind the camera himself. Magazines like Amica, Cosmopolitan, or Highlights Magazine and clients like Rodenstock, Roeckl or Kontor Records soon started to appreciate his elegant lighting and his distinctive style.
