    • Final Chance to get Advanced Tickets to Rockland Fashion Show

    WRFR’s Second Annual Fashion Show and Silent Auction will get place tomorrow, (May 1st) at 7:00 pm at the Lincoln Street Center for Arts and Education.

    Tickets are $5.00 in advance or $8.00 at the door, advanced tickets are obtainable at Grasshopper Shop, Maces, Caravans, Theo B. Camisole and Heavenly Threads.

    WRFR is an all volunteer non-commercial radio station, rather than having a set format, the station airs dozens of programs weekly, covering enormous range of topics, styles and genres.

    The station broadcasts at 93.3 FM in Rockland and 99.3 serving Camden and neighboring communities.  The annual fashion show fundraiser is one of the few events that give financial support for the station, which receives no government funding or foundation grants and relies on the support of local business sponsors.

    The event is being controlled by Joelle and Rachel Albury, hosts of Jo and Cheech’s Radio Hour heard on Tuesday evenings on WRFR.

    Beyonce looks fashion advise from Victoria Beckham

    Popstar Beyonce Knowles has seemingly asked singer-turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham to design her stage gear.

    Impressed with the former Spice Girl’s latest clothing collection, Beyonce personally contacted Victoria with a view to effective with her on designs to wear for her gigs in US this winter, Mirror reported online.

    Beyonce is a big fan of Victoria’s work, and was given a couple of samples from the new collection – as well as some sunglasses which she has been wearing at any given opportunity, a source said.

    The wife of English footballer David Beckham, Victoria was charmed after the 28-year-old singer approached her.

    Victoria was privileged and has agreed, in principle, to suggest some designs. While Beyonce by now has the sunnies and a few dresses, it is Victoria’s more elegant full-length designs that she particularly loves as they are a real departure from her usual glitzy stage costumes.

    Lily Allen to commence fashion label via reality show

    Although, singer, actor and host, Lily Allen has declared that she would be breaking away from her music career, she has planned to remain in the limelight by deciding to act in a television reality show that will showcase her new fashion store and also her new apparel line.

    Allen would be initiating her new apparel line, ‘Lucy in Disguise’, with her half-sister Sarah Owen at Vintage during the Goodwood festival in August.

    In a joint venture with a UK-based television channel, it was decided that Allen’s line of apparels will be recorded from the time she would design and endorse the same at her store and during the Goodwood event.

    Through this show, Allen’s experiences, while working on her fashion boutique, will be depicts to the viewers and it is scheduled to go on air early next year.

    This, actually has not been Allen’s first brisk with fashion. Before a couple of years she had designed summer apparel line and other outfits for a high-end apparel brand.
