• The India Kids Fashion Week (IKFW) held on January 21, 2012 (India) in Mumbai , a primary project to give India’s upcoming and highly potential fashion alliance for kids a platform to showcase their talent and make a mark in the international fashion industry.
• It was around 20 designers and brands from all around who held hands and show casted their collection for the new buds. It was not less than 200 cute kids who stepped ahead with support of the parents and their school administrations to participate in the contest which might be a big fashion show for the designers but mere a fancy dress competition and a part of extra circular activity for the kids.
• That was not all with the parents support but also the other individuals for the industry like the bolloywood celebrities who contributed in supporting the kids by holding their hands on the ramp and inspiring them which boosted them up. This included Dia Mirza, Tisca Chopra, Maria Goretti, Genelia D’Souza, and Sohail Khan.
• The beauty queen Sushmita Sen also walked the ramp with her daughters Renee and Alisah at the first edition of IKFW. Then was our cute dashing kid celebrity , Sonu Nigam’s son, walked the ramp wearing black dhoti and red coat.
• The designers presented their spring summer collection keeping in the boundaries for the kids with ‘NO’ attires which would be body hugging or steal the identity of the kid. So it was amazing collection with kids in Indian attire, ort the ramp was filled with frills and other multi coloured attire for the kids.
