Another highlight zone is the World of Fashion Accessories, where a fascinating mix of accessories items, including hats, shoes, handbags, gloves, fashion jewellery etc., will be presented to complete looks of different styles.

Among all theme zones, the largest two will be Garment Mart, comprising suppliers of reasonably priced high-volume fashion, and Fashion Gallery, featuring collections of higher quality and outstanding design. Other zones include Intimate Wear, Infant & Children’s Wear, Bridal & Evening Wear, Fabrics & Yarn, Sewing Supplies, Trade Services and Testing, Certification & Inspection, which will present quality-related services offered by specialists in this vital field.

Taking place concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre will be another exciting event – the 9th HKTDC World Boutique, Hong Kong, showcasing branded fashion items and designer collections. The natural synergy between the two fashion and garment events is expected to provide buyers with extra sourcing opportunities and benefit exhibitors of both fairs with a high buyer attendance.

Fashion trends by Manish Malhotra

Excellent year for fashion designer Manish malhotra

From Sonam Kapoor’s clothes in I Hate Luv Storys to Kareena Kapoor’s cargos in Golmaal. Body-conscious clothing that showed off a classic frame became admired. The star of the world Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s look in Robot was admired by the Autumn/Winter collection at place. Monochromatic dresses became a mass this year. Stylists finally bid goodbye to the typical style of combining too many colors and stuck to sporting a single shade. The back became the focus of most garments. Indian women might not be too comfortable showing off cleavage or their legs, but the back can be sensuous without being too risqué. Karenna Kapoor cowl salwar is the real hit of this year. The socialite style of combining western dresses with blow-dried hair and Indian earrings should come to an end with this decade. It’s time to move on.
