Charitable Fashion Show

The local designers are working hard and hard for the charitable fashion show. More than 50 clothing designers from all around the county have joined their hands dedicating their work for the 3rd annual Runway Re-purposed event next month. The Registration for the event took place yesterday aafternoon

The 12 years old designer has transformed the offered clothing into highfashion. All the designers are allowed to 4 items of clothing which is collected from Opera house, where each member is given one month to produce the best and the original.

The presentations will be displayed at a fashion show on February 5th, with prizes going to the designers of the best submissions. The donated clothing comes from local sources, including La Boutique in downtown Howell, the Family Resource Center’s Career Boutique, and untaken items from Snedicor’s Cleaners. Runway Repurposed is meant to be a charitable program, with proceeds going toward the Livingston Art Council and Family Resource Center in Howell.

This year’s theme is the Kentucky Derby, and all designers are required to include a hat as part of the final outcome. Entries will be sold in a silent auction this year as opposed to the open auction held in previous years.
