“It looks over sized and you will feel relaxed” – that’s the new trend in menswear for 2012

Now guys can move on free and relaxed. The trends take a turn in 2012. Loose styling was what dominated the runway in Paris and Milan on the ramp …… a relaxed fit, though it might not sound new to you, as its been in style in the past years, like the baggy jeans have been in for quite some time now, but it certainly differs in style from what was available before.
So what’s more in trend for the men this season, let’s go through the key words.
1. Seamless shoulders
2. Pleated pants
3. Loose pants
4. Loose cut jackets

Seamless shoulders say it all about the relaxed tailoring fit. Where the shoulder and sleeves are one without separation, with a more tapered look differentiating it from a kimono.

Pleated pants were just an experiment with men’s tailoring. As we have seen in the women’s wear, it’s just a try with men this time, using both forward pleats and inverse pleats on the trousers.

Loose pants as the term explains they are very loose fit trousers which do not give a formal look nor a casual look. It’s just loose at the thigh and the crotch.

Loose cut jackets are with seamless shoulders and voluminous sleeves which gives a feel of over sized coat on us. Where there is volume through the torso and seamless shoulder, but the shoulder is tailored in such a way that it still appears to fit and gives a clear look. It’s influenced with 1960s fashion.
