Fall 2010’s Top Color Fashions
We’re not convinced when the whole wide world of Fashion gets the annual “memo” about what colors will take the runways by storm, but season after season; the huge tonal trends do shine through.
Like everyone else, we love fall colors best…partially because the shades go deep and dark, or alternately, bold and bright. But this fall introduced a few unpredicted contenders in the color category:
Along with rich purple, mixed olive tones, and more burnished metallics, soft classic camel made a comeback and so did the brightest red.
To acquire you on the right color wheel, we’ve rounded up the six fall color trends to begin bringing into your own closet…September is, afterall, just one little month away.

Hawko’s golden sirens come out of their ammunition for slick show
It was a golden opportunity and Myer ran with it last night with a summer fashion show that was big, attractive and scandal-free.
For years the department store has been in concert the not-so-glamorous little sister to David Jones. But that is altering. Last night’s show was modern, youthful and slick. Myer may not have the major names in Australian fashion hanging in its aisles but it has made some good buying decisions this season.
A superb triton shell sculpture crafted out of pine – the work of the architect Chris Bosse, who formed the Watercube for the Beijing Olympics – set the summer beach scene within CarriageWorks at Eveleigh.

Eudon Choi in Elle magazine
Vauxhall Fashion Scout Merit Award winner, Eudon Choi, is already emerging in UK’s tops glossies.
The Royal College of Art graduate, Eudon Choi, cemented his “one to watch” status this month, as his design was selected to feature in Elle’s main fashion story.
Shot alongside pieces by Chanel, DKNY and D&G, Choi’s navy wool coat with leather panelling will be in the pages of its September issue, released this week.
Choi’s career has been strongly watched since his graduate masters collection was snapped up by Dover Street Market, and he previously counts celebrities Sienna Miller and Jade Jagger among his many fans.
The magazine appearance comes following the former Twenty8Twelve designer was presented with the Vauxhall Fashion Scout Merit Award last week. Following in the footsteps of previous Merit Award winners Hermione di Paula, David Koma and William Tempest, the Korean designer will now obtain a fully sponsored catwalk show during September’s London Fashion Week, and exhibition space in both London and Paris.
“I am amazingly excited to win the Merit Award. Being given the chance to do a solo show during London Fashion Week, with my second full collection, is more than I could have dreamed of,” said Choi. “The assist and support of Vauxhall Fashion Scout with ‘Ones to Watch’ has been instrumental in moving my label forward and I know the Merit Award will take me even greater exposure.”
