  • Obi

    a wide sash worn especially with a Japanese kimono

  • Oilcloth

    cloth treated with oil or paint and used for table and ledge coverings.

    an oiled rainproof cloth used for coverings and garments.

  • Olefin fiber

    is a artificial fiber in which the fiber-forming stuff is any long-chain synthetic polymer composed of at least 85% by weight of ethylene, propylene, or other olefin units.

  • Olefin fiber

    It is a type of manufactured fiber in which the fiber-forming stuff is any long-chain synthetic polymer composed of at least 85% by weight of ethylene, propylene, or other olefin elements. Olefin fiber is a common description that covers thermoplastic fibers derived from olefins, predominately aliphatic hydrocarbons. Olefins are products of the polymerization of propylene and ethylene gases. Polypropylene and polyethylene are the two most common members of the family.

  • Organdy

    It is very fine translucent muslin with a stiff finish. Some has lappet, swivel, or gathered designs. Made with firmly twisted yarns. Crispness is due to a finish with starch and calendering which washes out, or a lasting crispness obtained with chemicals. Wrinkles badly unless given a wrinkle-free finish. May be bleached, dyed, printed, frosted, flocked, embroidered, or plisse. Used for particular children's wear, trims, collars and cuffs, baby's wear, bonnets, artificial flowers, dolls clothes, millinery, summer formals, blouses, curtains, bedspreads, aprons.

  • Organza

    a pure dress fabric like organdy and typically made of silk, rayon, or nylon. It crushes or musses quite easily, but it is easily pressed.

    It is a type of sheer dress material similar to organdy and generally made of silk, rayon, or nylon. Fine, sheer, lightweight, crisp fabric. It has a very sinewy feel. It crushes or musses fairly easily, but it is easily pressed. Dressy type of fabric sometimes has a silvery polish. Used in trimming, neckwear, millinery, and underlinings for fragile, sheer materials, as well as an underlining for other materials that require a bit of firmness without weight.

  • Outing flannel

    a flannelette occasionally having an admixture of wool.

  • Overplaid

    It is a cloth with an over-plaid design, namely a textile design consisting of a plaid pattern place over on another plaid or on a textured ground.
